Dr. Pilgrim is the Enterprise Chief Medical Ocer for Schumacher Clinical Partners. An emergency physician for over 25 years, he has served in numerous national leadership roles, including four terms as Chair of EDPMA’s Board of Directors. He has regularly advocated for state, federal, and public policy issues that affect the future of emergency care. He currently co-chairs ACEP’s Task Force on Alternative Payment Models and EDPMA’s Federal Health Policy Committee. He serves as a faculty member for ACEP’s ED Director Academy, and has lectured with the IOM’s dissemination workshop series, “Hospital-Based Emergency Care, At the Breaking Point”. Most recently, he delivered the Colin C. Rorrie, Jr. Health Policy lecture for ACEP 2017, United We Stand: The Influence of Emergency Physicians on Key Health and Public Policy Issues. He lives and works in Lafayette, Louisiana.
